When starting out designing your business’s website whether you’re looking for a fresh design or starting from the ground up, there are many tools out there for you to choose.

To help you choose what’s right for you, I have put together a brief summary of two commonly used web designing tools to help get you started.

Ease of Use

This design tool is completely free of coding! The editing layout is set to that of Photoshop and InDesign, so if you are familiar with these two programs, editing your website on Webydo should be a walk in the park.

If you are new to web designing then WordPress might not be for you. This is due to the fact that WordPress is mainly code based, so unless you know the basics of coding, this might not be the tool for you.

When it comes to design in Webydo, there are 3 set templates; ready templates, blank layout templates and a blank canvas. Each template is fully customizable so that you can create different experiences for different devices. Webydo also automatically converts your design into the HTML code.

Webydo also has a wide choice when it comes to fonts and also has an easy to use video tool!

With WordPress, you have a lot more freedom with your design. This is mostly due to the coding system within the web design tool. With thousands of paid and free WordPress themes to choose from or the option to create your own theme from scratch with code, your options are really endless!

WordPress templates can take a bit of time to customise from a web designers perspective. This is due to each template differing when it comes to both design and source code. Even though getting the desired theme might time some time, the wait will more than likely be worth it in the end.

Customer Support

There is a community-driven forum for Webydo when it comes to customer support in which users can ask others for advice and help each other out. You can also contact Webydo experts via email or live chat in case the forums cannot answer your questions.

When it comes to customer support for WordPress, there is a huge community of thousands of developers around the globe who specialise in WordPress based knowledge/work. As well as specialists, there are also plenty of free to use video tutorial videos out there that cover everything you need to know!

Webydo is a premium web designing tool with three available plans to choose from; Pro, Team and Agency. Pro costs $90, Team costs $180 and Agency costs $480 a month.

WordPress compared with Webydo, is somewhat on the cheaper. This web design tool is mainly free until it comes to plugins and hosting but even then, it will only cost a small fee each month. Hosting costs $5 and plugins cost $10 a month.

In the end, it all comes down to personal preference. Take as much time to decide as your business should look above all else, presentable and trustworthy helping to appeal to your target market. Whichever web designing tool you think would suit your business the best is defiantly the one you should go for!
