Video Marketing Tips!

Video Marketing has become a popular form of advertising since the first online video back in 1993. The use of video marketing isn't only good for sales, but with each video that you post, your customers become more enveloped within your company.

Plan

Before you start any sort of video, you need to begin with a plan. Don’t just jump in feet first to something your audience might not like. Careful planning and research should be taken in order for your content to reach your business' desired target audience.  Think about your audience and what you want them to know about you.

Show Off Your Workers!

Within your content, try not to solely focus on your products and/or services, try to also combine clips of your workers/employees! This is a great way to boost your companies moral and show your followers what goes on within your business.

Why not consider involving your customers as well and let them give you a verbal reason as to what they think about your company. This will show your audience that you take on board and care about your customer's views and will help to build customer relations!

Keep it Short!

Most videos on YouTube are becoming longer due to a change in how they rank each video, so YouTubers are creating longer content to keep their followers interacting with their videos for longer. But this is not the case when it comes to video marketing. If your business' video lasts too long, depending on the subject matter, people may not remember all of the information which you shared. Keep them short, sweet and simple, as unfortunately, users don't tend to have a long attention span.

Shorter videos tend to have more of an impact and people are more likely to remember the message. As you build up a library of videos, you will be able to figure out which subject matters are more watched than others, and this may spark the idea of longer videos in these chosen subject matters.

Video Placement

It may just be very tempting to simply upload your videos to your website or to a video-sharing site such as YouTube, but in reality, it is a lot more beneficial to post across a range of different platforms.

YouTube is perfect for uploading video content to as it works well alongside Google for helping to increase your SEO, but you risk losing control of who ends up actually seeing your video.

Analyse Your Content

So your videos are out in the vastness of the internet, but how do you know if they are actually gaining you any engagement? The best advice I can offer would be to start using an analytics tool such as Google Analytics or Moz. These tools will help you measure what is working and what isn't before it starts affecting your engagement and SEO results. You can stop something that isn't working early!

Summary

Don't be afraid to try out something new and experiment with your content. Think of unique ways to grab your audiences' attention and track what works and what doesn't.
