With the research you have done for your business's marketing plan, you should now be familiar with 'Hashtags'. Social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram and YouTube all encourage their members to use hashtags. But what are they and why do other businesses use them?   

 

Simply put, hashtags are a word or phrase with the hash sign (#) in front of them that help identify different subject matters within social media platforms.
